The cut
Weight removed with scissors, not carved away. Fades are built to disappear into the hairline, never into the scalp.
Marlowe
Private barbering · Tribeca
Scissor work, hot linen, and a house that never takes a walk-in.
Julian Marlowe · Founder
The house
Julian Marlowe opened the house after a decade of private chairs in Mayfair and Milan. The work is slow on purpose: scissor over clipper whenever the hair allows, linen heated twice, tonics mixed in-house.
Clients come when a haircut has to hold a boardroom and a dinner without announcing itself. Twelve chairs a day. No television. No walk-ins. If you want the chair, take it while the book is still open.

02
Straight-razor work over hot linen. Beards are sculpted to the jaw, not trimmed to a template.
03
Towels heated twice. Tonics of vetiver, tobacco leaf, or bergamot. You leave smelling like the house, not a shelf.
